For nearly 50 years, I have been a carver. Although my techniques, choices of wood, and subject matter have changed over time, my core approach has only been strengthened: Letting the wood speak. This might be found in the grain of the wood, its initial shape, or more frequently, after I've made a few cuts with the blade. |
